How does it compare to Tumpers? I have the trumpers but I can't smell anything but a plastic-like faint smell. Does it match the cologne?

Both are great soaps. I only tried Trumpers for a short time unlike TOBS which was one of my first soaps, especially the Sandalwood.
Both are different in Sandalwood scent which I remember Trumpers being more cedar, but then again it's been a while. As far as cologne, I couldn't tell you but hopefully someone else can chime in for you.
I guess what I was asking was whether the TOBS soap smells like the TOBS cologne. I would hope it would have a more pronounced scent than Trumpers
To my nose, the TOBS Sandalwood soap does smell like the cologne, albeit muted. I definitely note the herbal/spiciness characteristic of TOBS's take on sandalwood. The sandalwood shave stick is a good performer too, and smells stronger than the soap.
I know some people say that Trumper's soap scent is weak, but when I smelled the Trumper's sandalwood soap at Merz in Chicago a year ago, I found it stronger than the scent of the TOBS soap. I personally don't mind this, since I prefer the TOBS sandalwood scent over Trumper's sandalwood. YMMV
I'm sorry, I thought this was America!
The TOBS Sandalwood shaving soap definitely has a more pronounced and noticeable scent than Trumper's Sandalwood shaving soap. How much more is a bit hard to say, but I think there is more scent to it. And I don't have the cologne of the TOBS Sandalwood, but I did get a sample of the AS. With that in mind, the TOBS Sandalwood shaving soap is pretty different than their sandalwood aftershave. The aftershave is much, much spicier than the shaving soap. The shaving soap also has a more powdery base with woods and spice on top than the aftershave. I like the soap, but was very disappointed with the aftershave and I'm glad that I got a sample of the AS rather than making a blind purchase on the basis of the soap.
