What's new

What's your workout today?

Week six testing one rep squat.

Squats to 410
225,265,305,345,385,410 PR

Definitely a true max effort tonight, I'm pretty sure I had enough time on this one to read a Hemmingway novel.

Daily squats to 370x1
Concidently 370 is my old one rep from before I started this current testing.

Press (Deload 5r@60%) PM 115
40,50,55,60,65,70

I got all kinds of helpful pointers on the last set from the peanut gallery.

9 minutes of:
20 Lunges
5 Front Squats (135 pounds)
20 Double Unders

7 + 25

Daily squats to 370x1

Week one of testing my one rep deadlift.
Deadlifts to 475x1
260,310,360,410,450,475x1 PR

475 was something I didn't think I'd say about that weight. Easy, so easy in fact that I got the green light from the one of the coaches to do a 10lb jump next week.

Daily squats to 370x1

Front squats to 265x5
145,175,205,235,250,265 PR for reps

This was much easier after a one rep deadlift day then a 5 rep day. Go figure.

Week 7 testing one rep squat
Squats to 415230,270,310,350,390,415F,415F

Press (5r@85%) PM 12055,65,75,85,95,100

We're going to up my daily squats to 405 for the rest of this week and take another crack at 415 next Monday. Not really upset I didn't get it as last weeks 410 was definitely a max effort.

Daily squats to 405x1

Well that was harder than it should have been. Would help to stay on my heels and the chest up.

Clean and Jerk to 185x3
100,120,140,160,175,185

About 20 minutes of hang cleans and 20 minutes of split jerks from the rack.

Daily squats to 405x1
Much better then yesterday, still a bit of work but considering it's 5lbs below my PR that's not surprising.

Week two testing one rep deadlift
Deadlifts to 485x1
265,315,365,415,460,485 PR

Bar got a bit in front of me but nothing major.
