    Ran a 5K this morning. Not my best but still good enough to score 2nd place in the male 20-29 division.

    If the weather in Joplin is anything like it is here in Indy, don't expect a PR. I slowed my pace about 45 secs per mile on my long run today.

    For me 14 mile run in 90 degree heat and humidity.

    Yeah, the high has been near or above 90° & the race started on a bridge so it was muggier than usual.

    Squats last night, build to 260 ( really looking forward to 10 weeks from now)

    First real conditioning work in 3 weeks
    5 min, as many rounds as possible

    5 box jumps )roughly 32")
    10 pistols (alternating legs)
    15 kettlebell swings (1 pood, 36 lbs)

    5 slow ugly rounds, man I hate pistols.

    It was supposed to be 15 squats but apparently one of the trainers didn't think that killed the legs enough so she made it 25. Could have been worse I guess.

    When I was doing it I made up every excuse in the world to skip workouts but luckily I completed the program. I finally told myself, "I don't care if it kills me, I am finishing the 90 days." The first month was rough but I completed the program and it was a life changing experience. If you're having a difficult time during the first three or four exercises during Ab Ripper it might be a good idea to lay down on the ground to support the lower back.

    35 minute fast walk
    3 sets of 8 pushups
    4 sets of 15 squats (no weight)
    4 sets of 15 crunches.
