What's your workout today?

...and I've been reading a lot about planks. Think I'm gonna start doin' 'em either along with or in place of crunches.

Good idea IMHO.

Check out New Rules of Lifting for Abs if you want some good core exercises and/or training plans that don't include crunches. It's under $15 on Amazon I think, or try your library if it's big enough.
 
3 mile bike to exhaustion, superset of pullups and lats crosses. finish up with some freeweight cross-lunges and a casein and blueberry smoothie.

etiquette question: if a bro in the weight room is doing something new that you want to try/learn about, is it ok to ask for a demo and explanation?
