Default I think that's about my best shave ever!

I must say a big thank you for the general advice on here, with a special mention to Mantic59s videos on youtube.

Merkur 34HD, Feather (3rd shave on the blade), DR Harris almond soap, EJ best medium, Witch hazel.

My only concern is that it was a single NS pass - I think realistically I may have to step back a touch from the feather - I did OK with an Iridium, but have a big pile yet to try.

What do I think helped this shave? More and shorter strokes, and treating my face as flat zones to try to avoid trying to maintain an angle round a corner.

Lovely and smooth - probably not quite BBS, I cannot help but keep stroking my chin and cheeks! one tiny nick on my neck, but hey, I am learning - I am under four weeks in from my first DE shave.

    Thanks everyone,
    Paul.

It does indeed get better with practice, though it sounds as if you're doing quite well.
    Glad to hear it.
