Default online store to purchase a brush?

Can you recommend some online stores to purchase a brush? Preferrably an online store that's in USA. I read through the sticky about how to pick a brush. Sorry if this is a question everyone asks. I browsed through a bit but didn't see a list of online stores.
I'm surprised that there's not a review section here on B&B for online shave supply shops.
Well, I just recently stumbled across this forum so I'm new here at B&B. What a great website!

Oh, and welcome! I've dealt with all these guys and they're all great shops. You can also try www.qedusa.com for Savile Row brushes, but I have never purchased from there. Many have though.

Welcome to B&B, enjoy your time here with a great bunch of helpful fellow sojourners through the stubble.

You will find that there are several good vendors that have a wide variety of great products.

My experience with the following vendors has been top notch:

    Bullgoose shaving

    Barclay Crocker

    Classic Shaving

    Enjoy your shaving experience.

Before just running off and buying a brush, why don't you tell us a little about what you'd like to get.

Price range? Characteristics? Soaps or creams? etc...

Thank you gentlemen for all the store links suggestions. It's very reassuring to know that these are online stores that you've had good experiences with.
I've started to look at these and I'm more than sure I'll be able to decide on a brush from one of these stores.

I shave with a DE every day without a lather brush, but after finding B&B and browsing around I'd like to get one. I mean now I need one lol.

I'm not looking for a super fancy high-end brush. Probably just going to get a short-medium loft brush with either the pure or best grade badger bristles.

I have to say, I think B&B is one of the very few internet forums I've come across where the members are genuinely kind and courteous.

Thank you again for the store links.

While buying a brush online is great, you might want to consider calling one of these gents and discussing the characteristics of their brushes with you. I speak with Ray very regularly (Gentlemen's Best), probably too often if you ask him , and I've done the same with Jim (Vintage Blades). Both have been exceedingly helpful.

    Good luck, Sir.

So I had been looking and looking at online stores for a short-medium loft brush with either the pure or best grade badger bristles. In the mean time I ended up locally buying a Van Der Hagen boar brush and it works just great.

Now from what I've read online it sounds like badger bristles are softer than boar bristles? I can't imagine using a brush that has softer bristles than the boar brush I have now.

    Boar=stiff & coarse
Pure & Best Badger=very similar grades / soft & fine
    Super Badger= softer & finer
    Silver Tip Badger=softest & fluffiest & finest

It just sounds like maybe badger bristles would be too soft and floppy? Like a feather duster instead of a brush?

Am I getting this right for the most part? or do some of the badger bristle grades have similar stiffness as boar bristles?

edit added: Oop I guess I'm getting onto another topic all together and I see it's being discussed in other threads. More reading...

I've bought brushes from both bullgooseshaving and from westcoastshaving...both were extremely pleasant and enjoyable experiences...I can't say enough good things about Phil or John :)
