Good evening Badger & Blade. I must admit this site is my most recen addiction. After using a DE for a while I tried to resist my desires to even look at straights, but it was to no avail. I recently purchased a Henckels 401 Platinum 4/8 on the BST section and was wondering if anyone had any opinions/reviews/experience with this brand/type of razor?

I am certainly going to take my time getting into straights so I don't end up in the emergency room or allow my family to access those life insurance policies just yet! I also got a filly strop.

Any info, words of advice, and wisdom would certainly be appreciated. Also, where is a good place to shop for supplies (i.e - soaps, brushes, barbers hones, etc)? I am located in rural southwest VA near TN & NC and travel some to Columbia, SC - any shops in those areas that carry supplies in stores, or is internet ordering the way to go? Again, any help is appreciated.
