thanks to this wonderful way of shaving im finally rid of them. idk whether its because of the fact that its not four blades and its a DE or the fact that the soaps and creams im using is better than that can goop you get from gillette all i can say is that im happy i started wetshaving

Sure, one blade and several passes is the key, even if you're using gillette's joke of lather, but proper lather provides a better preparation of the beard, as well as less friction.
Good to have another convert. I'm about two months into my career, and I love it I think I had my best shave a few days ago. Merkur HD, Feather blade (although I believe I enjoy personna better on my face), superlather (col conk amber + casswell massey greenbriar*), silvertip brush (24mm 60mm loft, custom made by Mr Rudy Vey) and "The Finale Countdown" and "Umbrella" (cover by The Baseballs) on the radio. YEAH!!!
