I've been eyeing an M7-style for a while, but really wanted to try the Shavemac D01 2-Band hair. Reminds me a bit of the Gary Young LE (light) material.
Rudy has another material called Black Peacock that was quite enticing, but I really wanted something a little lighter...this time

I couldn't agree more. If I ever buy another Shavemac, it'll be finest. It's excellent value, and the flowthrough is better than D01, I think.

Just ordered a custom 173 in tortoise with a 26/50 knot

Love that handle! It looks like a wood burl - very organic as an artisan would say. I'm curious about the height of the handle? My next brush will probably be a Shavemac so I appreciate everyone's comments.

That's one brilliant looking brush! Thinking about buying one myself.

This is my Shavemac Opus Summum No.1 with a twoband D01 knot. The handle based on the Shavemac 167. Color is green onyx. It's different from contemporary faux onyx, a kind of vintage onyx with true retro look. Knot size is 25 mm (measured value 26,5 mm) in fan shape with 48 mm loft high. Total high is about 97 mm. The shown bush is used about ten times.

that new great onyx is on my short list, very short list now, of brush material to get my next Shavemac in.

Hair length ( Loft) ==> 42 mm

Quality and Size ==> 26 mm D01 3 band
Knot Shape ==> Fan Shape (or bulb? not sure)
Hair length ( Loft) ==> 52 mm
Shape ==> 25
Color ==> Horn

Stunning brushes here. My shavemac AD is flaring up!

26/50 just got home this week after a month and a half to find it waiting for me. I'm pretty amazed with the quality, 5 test lathers and use into it and not a single hair has shed.
