Too many hats?

Ok, I need advice from you other Hat Addicts.
I have accumulated a sufficient quantity of hats as to make it difficult to have a satisfactory storage solution.
I don't want to leave them in the original hat boxes (too bulky, and too much trouble to dig through)
I don't want to leave them all just sitting upside down on various pieces of furniture in the den.
But I also don't want to get a run of the mill hat rack that is likely to leave little pointy stretched marks on my nice hats.
I change up very frequently, rarely wearing the same hat 2 days in a row, and kind of just pick what best suits my mood and what I happened to choose to wear that morning.
Any body else have a unique solution?
What type of hat rack do you have if you use one?
I know someone out there has the perfect solution to the hat storage issue!

Hanger bolt, billiard ball.

if they are 7.5 i can store them for you....i have the perfect storage unit for them....

I've seen specialized hat racks in stores used for display, instead of a point they end in a larger half-sphere. Not sure if it's an ideal solution, but it's something to work off of.

Check antique stores/sellers for a hall tree and/or a mirrored hat rack.
