Kropp

Hi Guys,

I've just taken delivery of a vintage Kropp Str8 (made in Sheffield). It's in original case and looks unused (no wear, rust etc).

I'm waiting for another vintage razor to come back from professional honing before I try my first str8 shave (well apart from the Shavette disaster).

Would it be worth getting this Kropp honed and putting it to use - anyone used a Kropp?

I have a kropp and yes it would be worth it. They are very smooth shavers. They hone up realy easy.If your in the uk which i think you are. I spoke to you about perma sharps if your the same chap. You send the kropp to me and i will hone as a favour.

Kropp straight razor are quite nice. Was your ground in Hamburg or Sheffield?

I've had a number of Kropps, and found them all to be fantastic shavers. Imo, vintage Sheffield (or Solingen or Eskulstuna etc etc) is always at least great.
