Possible first straight - buyers advice

Hi all,

Ever since I've started wet shaving, about a year ago, I've been interested in straights, but the cost always stopped me (I'm just a student on low budget). Now today I decided to take look on a local eBay alternative, and found this razor:

After doing a quick search online, these Henckels seem to be pretty good razors. How would this be as a first Straight?
I can't say I really like the look of the scales, but my dad is an experienced carpenter so I might get him to make some new ones. (Plus he is experienced in honing & stropping his chisels)
I think I'll be able to buy this one for 30$ or less, which I think is quite a good deal?

Any opinions on this?

That is an amazing deal. I'll give you $50 for it.

(NOS of that razor sell for $150ish, don't sell it to me, I'm being a smartass).
It looks like pretty good shape too

Allright, thanks! The ad is for 2 razors together but he'll sell separatly, the other one is a brand I've never heard of, and google doesn't seem to know it either. The current highest offer is 27$ for the 2, so I don't think it'll be that expensive for just one! (and they don't seem to know it's a quality razor)

Yeah, I don't know the brand but that wouldn't worry me, looks European to me. But the condition would make me pass on it too (unless it's only an ~5$ difference in price, then may as well get it).

I don't think the seller knows about any of the brands, so he'll probably regard them as equal in price, apart from the condition.
