Default M3 cartridge for the price of a blade

    Ok Gents.

Lets "dream" a scenario where a 5 cartridge M3 pack would cost the same amount as a 5 blade pack.

    Which one would you buy?

Knowing how good the shaves are with a safety I can honestly say I wouldn't go back to a cartridge.

I will say that if the M3 was as cheap as a de blade I wouldn't have started shaving with a safety in the first place. I'm really glad the M3 carts are expensive .

If Sensor carts or Atra carts or Trac II carts were the same price as a DE blade, I'd probably never buy another DE blade. M3s? Aint gonna change anything. I don't like M3s.

Shaving with carts is boring. It's not about the money anymore. Besides I haven't saved a cent.

    +1

Regardless of price, the M3, and Fusion in my opinion are total pieces of garbage. I wouldn't buy them at any price.

If I were to use a cartridge razor, it would most likely be a Trac II; I can get the dorco dual fit carts for $.21 cents each at Dollar General.

How about if a 5-pack of DE razor blades cost as much as a 5-pack of Mach3 blades do today?

I always had razor burn with any multi blade cartridge, so i will have to stick with the DE and Straight.

And for the question of If the DE blades were as much as cartridges I would still have to pick DE, again due to the razor burn and i get about the same amount of shaves out of a DE blade that I did with cartridges.

That's a better question to ask.

I'm simply not interested in the price of the blades.
I will continue using my DE razors because they offer a superior quality shave.

I'd grow a beard or use an electric.

To the original question, I might keep a M3 around for travel if that were the case. Now I pack my handle and look for a drug store with DE blades around my destination.

I'm sticking to my DE, it's a closer more comfortable shave for me.

Might consider the Mach 3 if the blades used were not the cheapest, crappiest blade P&G (who owns Gillette) can find.

With the current state of affairs, I'll stick with my DE.

In this hypothetical world it would just be too late!
I know I moved from the "dark side" initially for cost considerations. But now...There's no way I'm goin' back to those stinkin' carts!!

I'd start shaving with a box cutter.

Either way I'd stick with DEs. I'm another who wouldn't use M3s. My cartridge was the Atra Plus.
