I have been a member of SRP for a while, but I am not good enough for them I fear. Here is some recent work. I will start posting here as I am an experienced honer, re-scaler and premium strop maker. My modest Website will be added soon hopefully.

Very nice. I had a couple razors rescaled in amboyna recently. I love the look and feel of that wood.

Welcome, looks pretty damn good to me
Looking forward to seeing your strops.

Can't wait to see more of your work. Any website?
Looks great - nice shape, good finish. My only suggestions for improvement would be a slightly finer sanding finish and 'glaze' on the wood. Also, I would put a different spacer in just for contrast. I love burls as much as anybody, but you've got to break it up to highlight both the scales and wedge.
Thanks. I sanded it back and forth across the gain up to 2500grit. The photos here are terrible and I might see if the own in Luxembourg will elaborate. He received it this morning and might can tell you more about the feel of this razor. As to the wedge, It was all the wood I had and I don't like to use non-wood materials on wood scales. Thanks for all the comments.
Trey,
I think what someone thinks are sanding lines are actually grain lines. If you look at the grain in the first photo and then look at the grain in the last, they match up.
At any rate, nice job.
Welcome to the club, by the way. I was banned from SRP the day after Christmas actually for posting a pair of Amboyna scales similar to these.
These are great folks here, so welcome to the B&B family.

Beautiful work Trey! Amboyna is gorgeous, and I really like your use of the wood for the wedge. The graining in the scales is really nice too...![]()
Be there or be square. Only I can do both!
I've got a cat named Beefeater and a dog named Beefeater, and two goldfish called Beefeater and Beefeater. There's Beefeater my hamster and Beefeater my horse, and my piglet, known as Beefeater of course.
