    Default Noob Reporting for Inspection

Long time cartridge razor user, taking the exciting leap into the world of DE Razors. Have been talked at about B&B constantly for the last month or so by a friend (Snood) so have finally decided to see what it's all about.

Had my first DE shave today with a borrowed Gillette 1961 G2, Personna Super Stainless Blade and Body Shop Maca Root. Not my best shave ever, but a much more enjoyable experience.

There's no looking back now. Time to start exploring!

    Welcome.

Stick with it, learn the ropes, and soon cartridges will be a distant memory.
I like my grooming products like my shotguns, old and English.

Pick up an Alum Block and rub on your wet face after each shave. If it stings you know you've been sloppy in that area. Helps me improve my technique every day.

    Welcome!~

Welcome to B&B!!! Great to have you here.

You are off to a good start and working with quality products. It will take a while to get used to everything, but it will only get better with time. I had my Fusion on the counter while I first shaved with a DE and used it to finish most of my early DE shaves.

It may have prolonged my transition to DE razors, but it worked for me. Point is, after a week or so, I didn't use and I didn't need it.

Keep us posted on how it goes for you.
