Anyone Up For a Chicago Meet Up?

I thought we could arrange it either in Lincoln Square (near Merz) or one of the hotel bars on Michigan Avenue (near Truefitt and Hill).

Let me know, and I'll take the lead on organizing.

Great idea...myself and two members of the Rolls Razor social group met up a few weeks ago and we had a great time trading shaving stories. I think Chicago is well represented here so hopefully we could get a good turnout.

I'm in. Lincoln square would be a good idea.

Huettenbar is a great German tavern right across the street from Merz. Stepping inside, it really feels like you've walked into a ski lodge in Bavaria. They have about a dozen top notch German beers on tap. Unfortunately, they don't serve food.

I would be in if this will take place in decent weather (late spring-ish?)
Maybe we can get some of those Michigan and Indiana guys interested.

And my vote would be the Lincoln Square area near Mertz.
Michigan can get pretty crowded during business hours.

A chance to meet some of the guys here, to do some shaving related shopping at some great stores (like Mertz) a couple of cold beers while telling lies to each other, maybe a meal, and possibly some sight seeing to make SWMBO happy.

Sounds like a hoot.

Merz is closed on Sundays, so I think the best bet would be to meet at Huettenbar around 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon, have a couple of beers, then head across the street to Merz (they close at 6). Afterwards, anyone who wanted to get together afterwards for an early dinner could do so.

That's an excellent idea, dependant upon how many wind up showing up and how many Huettenbar can take without notice.

I guess we could give them notice in advance that X number were going to show.
