Bad impulse?

I recently purchased this on the bay. It's my first straight purchase ever, I was going to see if it could be fixed up. Was this a bad buy?

I admit it was on impulse after being outbid by one buck on a Geneva with a fish on it.

Nice score! the thing that had me guffawing is the seller's description of this razor as being "shave ready" even though there is an _obvious_ chip at the heel

Still, that shouldn't be enough to give you nightmares, given the regard people have for the JA Henkel Brand
