What's new

What are the different causes of hair loss?

There's only one real cause and that's poor manufacture/assembly indeed: shedding occurs when there are too much bristles that aren't in "full contact" with the glue of the knot which is implanted into the loft.....

Speaking of badger hair, of course:biggrin:

Hiya Rafik,

I'm glad to hear it's the Badger, and not you !

What I have read/heard is from putting your badger brush in boiling water. That's what I've been told. They say regular hot tap water should be just fine.

On a lighter note:

You could always try Rogaine I guess...

Sorry if I scared the hell out of you guys:wink2:

I've heard the boiling water theory.

So, the only cause would be poor manufacturing.....

IMO
I think male pattern baldness affects badgers too. Have you not seen those bald badgers.
Any brush made from a male badger hair is like to suffer from hair loss. Those made from the hair of a female badger do not suffer from hair loss.

Seems like simpson has been using a lot of male badgers lately :001_tongu

OR

I could just be shoddy construction

Ya, but I'd hate to think what the cycle of this female badger brush might mean for your shaving  and then there's PMS mood swings, cramps, etc. And - just imagine - it goes and gets herself pregnant!

Cheers
