Should I even bother to shave with this?

I bought a cute cheapo Chinese safety razor today for 90 euro cents/that's about a dollar something/. ? It looks cool, but it's really light and small , even compared to a Wilkinson Sword Classic. It opens up like a butterfly. Should I bother to give it a test shave , or just keep it as a souvenir?

I hate to say this but the one in the photograph you posted really does look like it's worth pretty much what you paid for it.

Williams and VDH soaps are cheap and they work very well.

I would load a blade and verify even exposure - could save pain and blood loss!

Just start on your cheek not the jugular till you know whether it's good or bad.

I'll give it a go in a day or two using a Wilkinson Sword blade since it's very mild/just in case/. I actually like the handle on the razor/bad thing is that the head is plastic/ I hope I...survive I wouldn't call it "Chinese Tool of Slaughter" judging by the way it looks but if it doesn't work... I could always peel vegetables with it
