Thread: New Here

  1. Default New Here

I've been using this site as a resource for reviews for quite a while-about 6 months. There's been a lot of good information from the posts here, but there's been some that just didn't suite me. All in all, I'd have to say that I've grown to enjoy the things that I've learned from others and their posts here. Lots of good information, such as the addition of even a simple aftershave splash, has left me with much more enjoyable shaves. That said, I've been using a DE exclusively for about 8 months now. My repertoire includes: Classic 1904 Merkur, '70's Superspeed with black steel handle, Vulfix BB Brush, Classicshaving.com soap, and Aqua Velva Classic AS. As you can see, I've managed to avoid any AD's so far . Well I just figured I'd say hello while I was here, so hello!

Welcome aboard! Looks like you have a pretty good setup, and if you have any questions, ask away!

    Welcome, highlanderpa!

What does your username mean? Highlander as in Scotland? Pennsylvania mountains? Or, "pa" as in father?

Anyways, I hope that you'll continue to post!

Draw up a chair and ask any question about shaving that pops into your head. You may learn a thing or two if you don't watch out.

Well chop-chop, you nailed it with the mountains guess. I live right smack in the Appalachians and lots of our local history has to do with the Scots. My heritage is a second reason for that name considering that a large portion of my ancestry hails from the British Isles.

As for the AD's, good ol' willpower is doing me just fine for now. From what I've seen though, I'll need some therapy and medication eventually from just hanging around here!

Thanks for the welcome guys, I look forward to posting here.

BTW, my name's Chad so feel free to use it whenever.
