Muhle/Jagger/Merkur Heads

Ok gents, this may have been asked before but I couldn't find it.

What's the difference in the head design of these razors? I really can't tell the difference between the Muhle/Jagger heads and the Merkur head used in the HD and 38C.

What am I missing? Also has anyone measured the blade gap on the new Muhle/Jagger heads?

I'll help you out. See the two threads below.

Pics of the Merkur head (ignore the open comb head of the 11C, as we are comparing closed comb razors)

I measured the blade gap on my Muhle R-89 with the new head (which is the same head on the EJ razors).

I found it to measure as follows:

30 thousands of an inch, or .76mm Muhle R-89/ Edwin Jagger DE89L

This makes it slightly less aggressive than the Feather Portable, and slightly more aggressive than a Slim/Fatboy @ 4.

Here is a pic of the Muhle head on the EJ Chatsworth Lined Razor and the Merkur 23c. I find the Merkur head to be slightly more aggressive and thus preferable.
