I love these video's but haven't watched them in a while.

That is sick. And I mean it in a good way.

Is it me but the sound effects of the firearms are just awesome!

I hear that the animator (Krinkels) hand draws every single frame, which is why the animation is so smooth. In the program he uses you have the option of doing it by hand or having the computer do it for you, one method of which gives you better results (guess , ha ha)... Running at 20 FPS for 5-6 minutes... you do the math....
