  1. Default First shave with TOBS Avocado

I got the package a few days ago, but I hadn't had a chance to shave with it yet because my face was still healing from a Bad Shave(tm) from last week. Anyway, the extent of my previous creams were Proraso and Tom's of Maine Mint. Those were a step above the Gillette and Edge crap in a can, a big step. I think that the TOBS Avocado is as big step over Proraso and Tom's as they were over the goo in a can. Time will tell, the second, and especially third shave will really be telling. First impressions though are very good, my face doesn't feel all torn up and it isn't red and irritated. It doesn't feel dry or stretched. I'm impressed. The stuff lathered up really well, I need to use about 1/3 of what I used tonight though. Anyway, thanks to all those that recommended TOBS avocado.

It was the first cream I bought after getting into DE and traditional shaving. I still have some left, it got pushed to the back of the cupboard.

I don't know why I don't use it more - great small and performance, as is TOBS Rose. I think the Rose has a slight edge in terms of skin feel afterwards. Really seems to moisturise, or at least not dry.

I've found TOBS creams better than GFT's, they seem slicker and more moisturising.

TOBS Avocado is triple A imo (as are all TOBS creams). Glad you enjoyed it.

This is on my list of "to try". I've used a tub of TOBS Jermyn Street. I hope the avocado is as slick as the that.

This gave great shaves, but the scent took a while to get used to.

    Default burns my face

    well, it irritates it anyway.

I've got a tub for sale if anyone is interested - it will ship from Canada.

Wanna trade the tube for some Gentleman's refinery? I have a WTT post in B/S/T.

I used the Limes cream this morning. It was great! Lathered up in no time and didn't need a lot at all. A little goes a long way. The smell was wonderful and it protected my face well. No cuts at all.

I just received a tub of avacodo and rose about an hour ago. This will be my first time with avacodo. It smells awesome. I can't wait to shave with it this morning.

Personally, I love the smell. It smells a bit like fresh cut grass to me.

Yep. Fantastic performance, but my impression of the scent veers between old lady perfume and institutional laundry.

Still in the rotation, though. Shaves too well not to be.

I am in the minority on this one, found it totally meh. Performance was okay, not any better for me than some other creams. The scent is very weird to me - every time I use it I think I'm shaving in grandma's linen closet. I'll use my tub up but probably won't be buying it again.

    I won't be replacing mine.
It lathers great, slick and cushiony, but that "who broke the bottle of women's perfume in the potpourri shop" scent was the major turn-off for me.

The best description of the scent is what I read in one of the reviews as going through the cooling chamber of a flower shop.

I finally broke away from Tabac to start trying the TOBS sampler pack I bought. First up was Jermyn Street and I loved the scent and the lather. I think Avocado is next up.
