Default What do you like about adjustables?

I am a straight shaver that recently discovered Injectors. I have seen a number of adjustable injectors, and was wondering what the deal was. Is it simply to be able to control the aggressiveness of the razor? In other words, set it to your preference and leave it? What do you think are the advantages of an adjustable, and how do you use yours?

With my Toggle, I can dial in the exact shave that my face reacts best to and leave it there. I don't have to try all the other fixed razors out on the marketplace.

I think it's a good way to test different blades, since some work better in "mild" rather than "aggressive" razors, and vice versa. Pop in a blade, shave, then dial it up or down and see how it changes on the next shave.

Just gives the user a little more input towards the final outcome.

I notice that the answers you've gotten so far have been based on DE adjustables, although you were asking about an adjustable injector.

I do have an adjustable injector that I haven't tried so far. Frankly, it makes me a little nervous. The adjustment on these changes how close the safety bar gets to the blade. The thing is that although the resting position of the bar changes, it doesn't seem actually to lock into place, it will still move if you press on it with your thumb. It looks like it's designed that way, not actually broken, but it just seems odd. I like my non-adjustable injectors, though.
