Thread: Erasmic Supreme

    Default Erasmic Supreme

Don't know if this has been brought up already but here is the new Erasmic line.

    http://www.erasmic.co.uk/index.html

The tube look like Real Shaving Co. tubes...I wonder if Creightons is now making their creams? Anyway, I'd be curious to try it if it ever ends up at a US vendor.

My guess would be the shave creams lather and the shave gels do not, just like RSC. I sent an email to the contact person on the website to ask for ingredients.

Based on the "supreme shaving tips" they have on the page when you click on the creams, it looks like they're brushless.

Real Shaving Company says the same thing on their tubes, lathering in the palm with fingers and water. But the cream is made by Creightons with the same base as the 3Ts and others, and does indeed lather with a brush very easily.

Erasmic Supreme could be the same thing.

There are other creams that can be used with or without a brush also: Tom's, Nancy Boy, T&H UC, Pacific, Kiss My Face, etc. so it's not necessarily a new concept. My guess is the average consumer doesn't want to be bothered with using a shaving brush, hence the reason for a product that can go with or without, with instructions that tell you how to do it without only.

The new sticks are 75g and much, much wider than the old sticks - these new ones are just like a twist-up anti-perspirant.

Your old sticks will not fit.

Are they discontinuing the old version or just adding new stuff like Proraso did with Cutting Edge?

Cheers for that. We have a Savers in Cheltenham. Not heard of the other one though. I'll take a look next time I'm in town.

I picked up a tube of the Original shave cream at Savers in Cheltenham for £1.69.

As for the discussion above, I can confirm it lathers like a dream, with quite a strong sandalwood aroma. Good cushioning and slickness. I was using a six day old Feather in my new EJ razor (Yeah, had to get one and they are marvellous!) and the shave was smooth and comfortable.

    Terrific value for money.

Also the shop is still stocking the old, standard Erasmic cream and soap so I reckon this is their new, luxury line. Try it. Don't think you'll be disappointed.

I've just acquired recently both the original and sensitive shaving creams from the new Supreme Erasmic line. The sensitive doesn't contain any extra scent apart from what you get from the ingredients used, it has a very light scent that is somewhere between TOBS Almond and GFT Coconut Oil (but very light). The original has the same/very similar scent to the old Erasmic shave stick, an 'Eau de Cologne' type scent.

I haven't shaved with either yet, but the consistancy of both creams is very similar to the Real Shaving Co's. They are also made in England (but they don't say exactly where in England), unlike the old cream which was made in Jordan.

The Real Shaving Companies creams with an improved scent would be a wonderful product indeed.

My only complaint against the TRSC creams is that the earthy scent is not all that pleasant. I could live with the scent, but it's not a scent that wows me.
