Large Brush Lathering Question

I just upgraded from my tweezerman (great, great brush for newbies like me). Got a large badger silvertip off of ebay, believe 28mm knot...anyway it's a whole lot bigger than the tweezer. It's a great brush in terms of its feel and build quality. Problem is, I seem to be having a lot of issues getting a good lather with it. It just seems to soak up whatever I throw its way!

Any advice from some more seasoned veterans would be appreciated. I assume it's something I'm doing wrong rather than the brush itself. Do I just need to use more cream / soap? Am I pressing to much with the brush in the bowl? I've heard it's best just to use the tip of the brush for mixing a good lather. Help!

One of my brushes is pretty big (26mm). More product should help and time to break it in.

I'm having the same problem....I was told use more product aka more cream/swirl on the soap longer - and also the biggest/finer haired brushes absord more water...so I was told to squeeze more water out of the brush before making the lather.......but I will keep an eye on this for more advice.
