Default Wade & Butcher "Celebrated Damascus Steel" Ivory Scales

Here is a restore done for a forum member, the first of 4 that I have completed the other 3 just need scales, so pics are forthcoming...

This is a Wade & Butcher, Celebrated Damascus steel, which I restored & rescaled in authentic ivory. The great thing about the ivory is that it is nice and thick, as I used some old ivory letter openers that I found at an antique shop. Pins are nickel silver, spacer is black buffalo horn. I left a bit of "character" on the blade, as I thought it would make it look even more classy once scaled in the ivory. The ivory has a generous coating of renaissance wax, and has a nice shiny polish. The etching is very beautiful, and was preserved wholly. It reads, "Wade & Butcher, Celebrated Damascus Steel", along with the usual W&B arrow logo, and some neat vines. The last picture shows the lettering best. As always, forgive me for the shoddy pics, i'm working on it :-)

    Maker: Wade & Butcher
    Brand: Celebrated Damascus Steel
    Grind: 1/4 Hollow, ~5/8
Scales: Authentic Ivory, nickel silver pics w/ SS washers, Black buffalo Horn Spacer

That etching is awesome, and the ivory scales are really classy.

I love the profile of the scales, it really pushes the focus on the spine

There are some very nice razors on this site (and others) that make me think "Wow, that's nice" but this razor left me completely gob-smacked . . . that is English slang for speechless.

That razor is a work of art, simple as.
