Default What is your dream adventure?

Maybe not just adventure, but what is something you have always wanted to do in life?

For me, I have always wanted to go wild boar hunting. Spending the day traipsing through the woods for a somewhat dangerous animal that was brought to the New World as a food source. Doing the same thing as our ancestors would have not so long ago. To me, it's part of a connection to history, much as the DE shaving is as well to me and many others here.

Either backpacking through Europe or a lengthy cruise on the ocean.

    I have a list:

Shark cage diving with Great Whites

Backpacking the Appalachian trail (plan to do it this coming summer)

    Backpack through Europe

Like the OP, hunting wild boar

Fly faster than the speed of sound
Dive with a Great White Shark, a Whale
    Sail around Cape Horn
Cross the equator, and both tropics. Polar circles would be a bonus
    See the Milky Way
    Drive coast to coast
    See the pyramids
Visit Monaghan County Ireland, where my family came from in 1820
    Visit Stalingrad
Add a glider and hot air balloon rating to my ticket
    Catch a Blue Marlin
    A Whitewater Rafting trip

I'll probably have a few more to add.

Boar hunting is readily avaliable in many states

You should definitely backpack the Appalachian trail. I did a few miles of it this past summer, it's the most beautiful sight in the world. A few words of advice, travel with a partner and either camp near a ranger station or out of sight. Unfortunately the world isn't as it once was and there have been a few problems locally along the trail.

My two biggest passions are travel and motorcycles (in that order). I'd love to combine the two someday. Maybe not as extreme as Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman (and let's not forget Ted Simon!), but I'd love to tour the Americas and Europe on two wheels!

Keyword being dream, I'd love to leave the house with a rucksack, a $1000, and an open-ended ticket, with a hard return date of one year. Or, as Samuel L. Jackson so eloquently put it, "walk the earth, meet people, get into adventures. Like Caine from Kung Fu."

At some point in the journey, I'd hit either Bhutan or Peru for some high altitude culture trekking. Since it's a dream, Bhutan's more likely (since in reality, it'd burn through my $1000 in about four days of permits).

That sounds like fun, we've got a good bucket list started.

    My list:

Many others, but these would be my top ones.
