    Default Thump not Clank

Which of the vintage brushes has a rubber section where the knot mounts? I have complete privacy and serenity in my personal den at 4 AM except for that clank the brush makes on the mug. I've decided to make my own brush using that part of whichever brush it is.

    Default the clank

Amazing. There was another thread some time ago about the same subject, the clank that is! Irritates me to no end. I ended up getting a couple more old spice mugs, they're low enough so as not to make that sound. I've only got three so I'm not hoarding them! I tried letting my fingers knock on the mug but never quite got it right. I considered an added puk to bring the soap nearer the top and I thought about a rubber sleeve maybe on my existing brush(es) but the low sided mugs worked out the problem for me. Good luck on your quest Sir!

I don't know, but I kind of like the clank once in awhile. If you mix the lather high up in the bowl then only the brush bristles should hit the bowl. Stop swirling the brush and pump it a couple of times to fill the brush and then go back to the high swirls. That would seem to eliminate the clank noise.
