Wanting for wisdom
One of the two razors I own is a Geneva Cutlery Corp with a picture of a tiger near the pivot and on the scales. I guess the razor is 80 to 100 years old and works wonderfully. My issue is that it seems to blacken fairly quickly. I'm using it every second day so I don't really want to coat it with oil after I dry it off. Do you guys have any tips?

Carbon steel tarnishes. As long as you're getting good shaves and it's not staining your skin, I wouldn't worry. You could polish it, but I don't know what that would do to the edge.

Tarnish is good. The only time a razor should sparkle is glamour shots after getting restored. I like my razors like I like my coffee, black.
