Recommendations needed for razor e-tailers

TK, the newbie, back at it...

Ok, I am looking at getting a straight razor with a wooden handle a dovo.

Is classic shaving .com a good reliable outfit?
I am thinking of buying a nice razor from them, but would like you'all's unvarnished feedback, opinions, experience if possible before I pull the trriger...

Any input appreciated, THanks!

Classic is a top notch organization, but before you buy a new razor, make sure you've done your homework. Owning and using a straight is a commitment, and you'll have to learn to care for it. The most important thing is to get one that's shave ready. Naturally, one might assume that a brand spanking new razor would be the best for that- not so. Even a new blade has to be prepped by someone who knows what they're doing.

Start off buying a shave ready razor from one of the guys here or on SRP, and get a good strop. By the time you need to hone it, you'll know if you want to move on to a new razor.

Keep looking- there are countless threads about this very situation.

For an extra $20 or so, Classicshaving will send your razor out to a honemeister for sharpening prior to delivery. It will delay your order, of course
