I just picked up this red tip at a thrift store code A3 I'm guessing it's a '55 the only wear I see is the paint on the actual edge on the red tip end other wise it's sweet

Nice! I also picked up a red tip today at an antique shop...it was pretty rough, so right now it's taking a bath in some scrubbing bubbles. Looking forward to cleaning it up - though I don't think it'll look as pristine as yours!
