(pic heavy)A newbie's vintage collection starts

I'm new, but have been around the auction sites looking for old razors...they entertain me. I'm pretty proud of what a month of searching can do...now I just need my birth year SS and an Ever-Ready and I'll be sane.

I have (left to right order):
GEM 1912
Valet Auto Strop
Vintage Gillette Tech Ball End
GEM Micromatic

Here's all four...not in bad shape. Most have kept their shine, some have a little wear...but that's what 100 years will do. Anybody know how to date an Auto Strop?

Just got my 1912 in the mail yesterday, haven't shaved with it yet.

Yes it is sir...I checked and it says Valet Auto Strop at the top of the....strop. I hadn't thought to check before.

Try the antique center in downtown La Crosse. I've made a couple nice scores there.

I feel the 1912 you have is the nicest design they made. Very round. I have one myself and even though it is covered in brassing, it shaves like a dream.

Very nice start to the collection, it's a great hobby unto itself (plus, we get to shave with them! ).
