Cella is great. Some say it's the best there is, others think it's very overrated. Either way, it's a B&B rite of passage. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts as you 3017 this staple.

You mean I still haven't passaged?!

Hi. I'm Jessy. I've been a B&B member for over a year, and haven't tried Cella.

Hi Jessy, thanks for sharing your story, you are an enigma.
I've not been here a year but remain Cella-less as well.

I have a sample of Vitos red, does that count?

:biggrin1:

I'm working through a few (bigger) samples and trying some new stuff out but I hope to get back involved with this thread. It would go along nicely with my sabbatical commitment since I'm less tempted to buy if I know I won't be trying a new product anytime soon.

Finished up the DR Harris Windsor this morning. What an awesome soap. Now it's on to RR Boston Tea Party. The journey continues...

24 May 2013 - 22 June 2013: DR Harris Arlington
23 June 2013 - 18 July 2013: DR Harris Arlington/CO Bigelow

10 December 2013 – 28 December 2013: Stirling Scot's Pine
29 December 2013 – 7 January 2014: DR Harris Windsor (paused)
8 January 2014 – 31 January 2014: Proraso Red/Synergy Cavendish(paused)
1 February 2014 – 3 April 2014: DR Harris Windsor (resumed)
4 April 2014 - ??: RR Boston Tea Party

Synergy Pumpkin bit the dust earlier this week, I averaged roughly 1.74 grams per shave. The shaves were great, I have a back up puck of Synergy Cavendish that will probably get used next winter.

I have a partially used puck of RR King Louis that I'll work on for the next few days. I expect a box of soap to arrive today or tomorrow and once it's here I'll decide what is getting the treatment next.

No.

Though, lore, popularity, and rich history aside, I don't feel that Cella offers anything that Vitos does not :a49:

It will be part 2 or 3 of my next run of soaps...I may sneak Haslinger in between them but my plan is to do Vito's (also from the PIF) very close with Cella (next) so I can see how the match up with each other.

I used up my Stirling Scots Pine this morning. I really like the skin feel from the mutton tallow in that one. I did two pucks of the stuff in a row, one grated and pressed into a wide tin and the other pressed as it was shipped into an Old Spice mug (perfect fit). The grated one was used up in almost half the time. I'm never grating one of these again.
The scent was nice and it was subtle.
My next kill will be a half block of Pannacrema San Francesco. I molded it into a tin this morning and it smells like a smash-up of Old Spice and Sandalwood. This is a small amount, only about 40 grams. It should go real fast. I'm guessing two weeks.

The journey so far:
Stirling Soap - Scots Pine Sheep Soap (2 pucks): 2/18/2014 -4/3/2014
Mystic Water - Marrakesh: 1/16/2014 – 2/17/2014

Stirling Soap – Coniferous: 11/10/2013 – 12/7/2013
Mike’s Natural – Orange, Cedarwood and Black Pepper: 10/19/2013 – 11/9/2013
Mystic Water - Lavender Lime: 9/22/2013 – 10/18/2013
Queen Charlotte – Vostok: 8/30/2013 – 9/21/2013
D.R. Harris – Arlington: 6/18/2013 – 8/29/2013

Mystic Water - Adirondack Jack: 2/21/2013 – 3/14/2013

I'm really enjoying my time with the Calani. Great scent and top notch performance. I hear if you only stare at the soap for long enough it will yield a great lather, that's how easy it is to work with it.

All kidding aside I couldn't stand pine scot. I thought it smelt like sheep. I guess I built up an evergreen scent which made it worse, but maybe he reformulated it. Mine got binned for the good of people, but that was early stirling and I haven't giving it a shot since.

As for the artisan line, it is timing perfectly for the huge sale that just passed. I was shocked at how great the lather was. This stuff never got the hype it deserved, even though it was a hot item. Please queue the rush for a new disco products. I hope the refined version keeps up.

I moved my AOS sandalwood out of the AOS bowl and into my Pens bowl and I swear the scent changed dramatically. Way less clay and more sandal-woody and sweeter. Looks like Bob's AOS is in a different bowl also. May be a coincidence, maybe not.

My small Haslinger puck is like the Duracell bunny. Great lather, great shaving and still a little while to go yet.

I only have a few days left with my RazoRock XXXt. It has been a pleasure to use and will definitely be replaced.

My puck was a refill that I put into a Anchor-Hocking dish.
