It's good looking lather, but perhaps a bit on the dry side. Another dip or two of water might help.

Current combo until the Tiki is gone. The scuttle was only used for soaking the brush, not for building lather.
What brush is that? I have the same razor and scuttle as my daily driver!
Face lathered PdP with my T&H 1/2. Not the best shave because I had to keep an eye on our new puppy. Decent lather but had to recharge after two passes. Guess I really had to load a lot more.

Today I used the B&B Essential Boar with the PdP. It loaded up a TON of soap in a short amount of time. I worked the soap in my scuttle, but today I didn't use any hot water, essentially using it as a bowl. I got a lot of lather that was both thick and a bit dry, so I added water and got some good, usable lather. Decent shave, felt maybe a bit more blade than I'd like going ATG. Of course, I got interrupted by the puppy, which seems to be a trend.
I used a Feather for the first several shaves, then used a Gillette Silver Blue for a couple days and found that kind of harsh and aggressive. Then I switched to an Astra SP today and it was somewhat harsh. It appears that the Feather, while it may be the sharpest, seems slightly narrower which almost seems to expose less edge. I wish I had ultra sensitive calipers to measure, but visually the GSB seems wider.
I'm finding that PdP isn't a very slick soap. There are varying degrees of cushion, but not much slickness to speak of.
Also, I have been using Stirling as a test lather (i.e. boredom lather) soap, and while I was complaining about not getting great lathers from it before, I've been getting some good ones. It's less finicky about the water ratio than PdP, but the slickness is there in spades.

I'm sure I'm about the 400th person to comment on this, but I'm a newbie (about a month into wet shaving) and this is easily the best and most entertaining thread I've found on B&B. You guys are an inspiration!!!
Gentlemen, I never thought I'd see the day, but I've finished my journey. I had to toss the last slivers of my Vintage Williams because it was too small to be usable. I placed a small order from Bullgoose for after my samples are gone, but I've finished the last of my stockpile. It's been a pleasure spending this time with you. Good luck to the rest of you. I promise the feeling of accomplishment at the end is worth it.

C&E Nomad cream (~70%) Nov 2011 - Dec 2011 Not bad. Smells nice and performs better than decent.
Tube of GFT Limes (~85%) Dec 2011 - 15 Jan 2012 Not bad, but not worth the price. Decent performer but smell is lacking.
SRD soap samples (2 of) 16 Jan 2012 - 19 Jan 2012 Some of, if not the, best glycerin soaps I've tried. Scent and performance both.
Icoloniali croap 20 Jan 2012 - 1 Apr 2012 Love this one. Low lather, but slick and easily the most moisturizing soap I've ever tried. I'd replace every time. The scent is amazing, also.
Fraser's Original cream (~40%) 2 Apr 2012 - 27 May 2012 The smell was good, but extremely easy to lather and very very slick.
SCS New Spice and Vetyver croaps mashed together 27 May 2012 - 3 June 2012 SCS soaps are great, but it's too heavily scented for me.
Speick Stick grated in bowl (~70%) 4 June 2012 - 27 June 2012 Amazing. A bargain at twice the price.
TOBS Avocado (~80% in tub) 28 June 2012 - 23 July 2012 Very moisturizing and easy to use. Scent is alright but everyone should try it.
MB Lemon Rose 24 July 2012 - 1 Sep 2012 MB soaps are great. The scent took some getting used to but I loved it in the end.
La Toja Stick grated in bowl (~90%) 2 Sep 2012 - 15 Sep 2012 Another solid performer. Nothing bad to say
Benton Clay Lavender (~50%) 16 Sep 2012 - 22 Sep 2012 For me, Benton Clay soaps are the best of the cheap and near the top compared to the expensive. I can't say enough good things about any of his soaps. The lime is the absolute best around.
Cella (~50%) 23 Sep 2012 - 10 Oct 2012 Great stuff. Loved it.
Calani Oriental Plum (~75%) 11 Oct 2012 - 26 Oct 2012 A bit too sweet for me but well worth it. Very good.

TFS hard soap Tobacco Verde Intenso 1 Nov 2012- 23 Oct 2012 Very good. Fresh scent if I recall, which was nice.

C&E Sienna 17 Nov 2012 - 21 Dec 2012 Not the best but very usable if it's around.

I can only hope to finish one day. My issue is, I keep adding to my soap box.
Scratch that thought... I seem to have used or PIFed every last one of my Feather blades so I'll be unable to compare for you.

Yup, I'm just as guilty.
Barrister and Mann Tre Citta is a great performer, but for some reason I'm getting a little irritation if it stays on my face too long. It might be a touch high on the stearic acid, or I let the sample sit too long. I have the same issue with a few of the RR croaps.
May switch it up and go for one of the tallow samples to see how my face likes those on Wednesday.
