Gentlemen,

It just hasn't been my year for skin sensitivity. I took a day off from the Marlborough to try out RazoRock P.160 and I paid the price for cheating. Burning and extreme redness was the result. I have no reservations about returning to the Marlborough as I have not had any temptation to use anything else, but I wanted to check out the P.160 and see if I would have any issues with it.

As I've done since joining the 3017 clan, my tub of P.160 is free to any CONUS 3017er (apologies to my more distant brethren) who wishes to try and work through it. First-come, first-served.

Shave on!
I have a full tub myself, but this will make somebody very happy. Sorry it didn't work out for you.

Sorry to hear that.

Egh128, I'll take the p160 of available.

I also cheated today with some TOBS sandalwood. Looking forward to using this full time.

Making a test lather and applying it to the inside of your arm is a good way to see if you react to a product before slathering it on your face.

I would do this regularly if I was prone to sensitivity, but I'm not. The products that I've had issues with are known or expected to cause issues for many people (not that they're bad products at all). Thanks for the tip!

Awesome PIFs Bruce and egh128. Congrats to Sal and Jarick!

I finished my RR Nonno Michelino sandalwood this morning. 21 shaves on 65 grams of product for 3.1g / shave. It is a good performer but doesn't make it into the top tier ranking. It could be a little slicker with more protection, and the scent is rather mild. This was one of the first soaps that I acquired, so another 3017 success!

Moving on to RR Fresco that is about 18 months old, and using it up. Pretty much a full tub.

*Will (or would, if possible) replace

I have been very inconstant with the Palmolive stick. At this point It should be gone soon, but don't know if I will replace. I have a couple of Andys Mint shaves coming up, mixed in with my next 3017 attempt (and RazoRock XXX on Christmas eve/Christmas)

Thanks! I will give it the 3017 treatment. Luckily for me the only thing I am sensitive to is bay rum....and well i guess crappy scratchy brushes.

About 2/3-3/4 through my puck of RR KOTC Lime. I think once done it will equate to approximately 2-2.5 months of daily shaving for me.

As a side note, test lathered up a my puck of B&M Dickens. Dear Lordy I love that scent. Perfect blend of evergreen and cherry. I know that the evergreen is not an actual scent note, but they somehow all combine to evoke a cherry evergreen for me.

redrider, I see you are located near Fergus Falls. My primary residence now is St. Paul but I have a cabin near OtterTail and lived up there for many years. You Sir live in Gods Country.

Fergus Falls, St Paul, Bloomington, Apple Valley, St Cloud....we've been to all those places traveling and mountain biking.

Living in Winnipeg, trips to Minneapolis for fun or Baseball games were regular occurences before the kids came along. Lebanon Hills campground is where we uses to camp when MTBing.

We still get down the odd time, bit not as often as I'd like.

Winnipeg is a great town! I played hockey as a kid and made the road trip to W for many tournements. I was at a Wild game a month or so back when they played the Jets in St Paul. Half the Xcel Energy center was filled with fans from Winnipeg. 'The Liffey' is an Irish Pub across the street from the stadium. Swung in there after the game and had some Guiness with a crew from Winnipeg. We had a lot of fun.

My son and I mtn bike Lebanon Hills Park a few times each Summer. Many excellent trails, in fact I broke my ankle there a couple years ago. :blushing:

Thanks, and I agree it's beautiful up here. I probably don't appreciate it as much as I should.

Funny, seeing your location as "Great White North" I always thought you were up in Canada too. I don't really think of MN as great white, more green. Though the last few years it's been awfully white for a long portion of the year.

I used to live in Fargo, ND. It's amazing what 45 minutes down the interstate can do for scenery. Not to say I didn't like Fargo, but everything is flat and straight. Just a little boring.
