The last of my CO Bigelow cream bit the dust this morning. Over the past couple of years I've used three large tubes, and five small tubes. Good stuff. Next up: the last of my creams, a mostly full tub of Castle Forbes Lime. I expect it will last a long time. And then it will be on to the soaps.
Many hot dogs are within you.
Hello everyone.
I've been trying to kill a container of AOS Lavender over the spring, but have failed. It's now too hot to keep using it, so I'm moving to the tried and true combination of Valobra Menthol and Floid Blue. I'm hoping that if the weather remains hot through September, I'll have finished the Valobra.
Moving along with the DR Harris Lavender. This will take care of most of the summer. But that's ok because the DR Harris stuff is really one of the best in the biz.
Cheers,
Bob

Getting better at this Cade lather. No trouble with the slick factor, but the density still leaves a little to be desired. Twenty second load at most and I have that after applying the second pass. I think I can get more water in the mix and eliminate the remaining froth. There is a nice sheen to it...
There are still a few very hard remnants of the Coconut in there. I don't know what kind of reaction occurred between the Cade and the Coconut...

Better this morning...
I kept slowly adding water and the lather got denser. Not MWF dense, but very nice. This is what I was looking at after a twenty second load and 3 passes!
Enough for 2 more passes! At least!
Definitely took a little time to get the Cade right when I was using it during the Cade challenge but in the end it turned out to be a good, albeit fussy, soap.
Cheers,
Bob

LTM bit the dust this morning, just about 2 months after starting it. As I said before, it's the best veggie soap I've used, but not worth the price you had to pay to get it. If they sold it as a regular puck of soap at a more reasonable price, I would be all over a refill.
Tomorrow, I begin work on 1.5 travel pucks of C&S 88...with a different brush and a new razor.

Fantastic thread.
I can't stick to just one soap so what I do is a mini rotation. Currently it's Nannys soapy, Valobra and Valobra menthol.
Hopefully I can join in with some picture soon.
C&S 88 on the clock!

And as an aside, I have read plenty of posts lately stating that there isn't a performance difference between veggie soaps and ones with tallow. After 2 months of an absolutely superb veggie soap, I can tell you that there is a significant difference between LTM and C&S.....and the C&S is better. I got some very nice cushion to go along with the slickness.

My 125g puck of MWF now weighs in at 98g. Been using it almost every other day (with a few Tabac and Speick days in between) since about mid April4 more months would be a somewhat appropriate guess.
