I thought that was a scoop of homemade ice cream when I first looked. Good stuff, there!

That is a Made-Rite 62 I was gifted by the widow of a friend. I restored it with an 18mm TGN Finest. I was thinking how much I enjoyed using it this morning, too! I load for 15 or 20 seconds and I get enough lather for 2 passes, touchups, and a coating while I wash up. Great stuff all the way around! No crust needed!

Plugging along. This is one of the best shave soaps I have ever tried. I have also noted that like MWF, the surface of the Manantiales cracks when it dries out.

I just shipped my second to last tub of Manantiales to a B&B member. I took a whiff of the remaining tub and look forward to getting to my remaining puck. Gotta finish the Coconut and some Cade first...

I agree. This soap is very good but as you indicated in an earlier post, it is definitely alot softer than most of the soaps used in this thread. The 1st half of this puck may only have a week, maybe two, at best which means that this puck is on track to be finished in a total of 2 1/2 months at best.

Although it is a fantastic soap, as far as longevity goes, it doesn't come close to The Fat.
    Cheers,

    Bob

MWF never rung my bell, so LaToja is miles better IMHO. You are correct though 2 1/2 to 3 months.

I never would have guessed that the la Toja would put up so little resistance.

I find that LT makes a much slicker lather than AOS, and my shaves are closer than with any other soap I've tried. That said, it lacks the cushion of AOS, and for that reason, I give the edge to AOS. Still, LT is the top veggie soap I have used by a long shot. And no, I have not yet tried MdC.

Looking at the puck this morning, I think I have at least another month or two left on her.

There is no doubt that the La Toja Manantiales is a top notch perfomer but admittedly I am a little surprised at how quickly this soap has dissipated. Almost half-way there in less than a month? Maybe if I had left it in its original container it may have lasted longer with the limited surface area that was accessible.

Bob, do you mean you are nearly done with the first 1/2 of the puck? I'll admit, that seems awfully fast, for any puck, not just a 150 gram one...
