You'd have trouble finding it, I think. Isn't everybody out of stock? I have used one puck and I'm 2/3 of the way through another, and I have a third puck waiting to go. One of my wife's best gifts!

I have been quite happy with the performance of my Trumper Sandalwood. The bottom of the puck has about a quarter-sized hole in right now. I wonder if it will make it until the end of March. I gotta start thinking about what is next in line.

I've decided that whenever I start a new puck, it will be on the first of the upcoming month. In the intervening days (or weeks) before the 1st of the month, I will work on completing the three remaining tubes of cream that I have (Old Spice, Floris JF and La Toja).
    Cheers,

    Bob

I will get one more shave out of my SCS Refined soap. That stuff is excellent, and I'll definitely pick up more SCS soaps in the future. I've decided to go with a travel tub of Castle Forbes Lavender next.

Did you find that it takes more SCS soap to get that same amount of lather as something like Tabac or AOS?

Yes, but not a huge amount more. I was really impressed by the quality of the later, very rich and slick. It did a fine job moisturizing as well.

SCS soaps are the slickest soap I have ever used, even slicker then AOS. I think I need to revisit them.

    I love this thread!

Ordered a soap mug and 500g of Klar Kabinett. The seller actually called me, I asked if there were any problem with my payment or anything but no. He just called to say that the amount of soap will not fit the mug and ehhhm, that its like 7-8 years of soap. Hehe. Great service! My I coloniali looks like djhs picture though, but I havent been faithful too it.

    Great thread!

Gunnar, I don't know about 7-8 years but can confirm that a 500g block of soap will not fit in a mug. 500g is approximately 1.1 pounds. Not having experience with Klar Kabinett I hope the soap is soft enough to easily cut a chunk off and place it into your mug.

I don't think the Trumper Sandalwood will make it to the first day of spring.

KK is NOT a soft soap, which makes it even better of a deal. You'll need to use a knife to cut off chunks, or you can just grate it into a bowl.
VERY VERY good value, and a good rose smell.

    Bob,
Have you ever used any all natural tallow based soaps such as Mystic Water Soaps? Just curious to how you find them compared to your favs!
Great thread, sir. i have also been trying to wear down my 15oz of MdC that a friend gave to me two months ago. It never seems to dwindle down; in fact, if i am not delusional, i think it has started to propagate! i swear that it is blooming!
    Happy shaving!

That was funny! I will let noobs in on the joke -- there isn't a manner of manufacturing artificial tallow as of yet.

    What? THEY LIED TO ME.

The remains of Tabac have been transferred to an Old Spice mug for easier loading. It's now the consistency of a thick cream.
