For the record, I am as envious as all get out, since Captain Fawcett's does not make lather like that. The saving grace is that I could kill it in six weeks.
Will some of the soap-killer brushes take a backseat to some of the "cream-ier" brushes?Farewell, Captain Fawcett. You smelled great, but as a shave soap, you just didn't deliver. I will not be replacing you in the stockpile. I will be putting the soaps on the shelf for awhile as I reacquaint myself with the world of shaving creams. We'll be doing a cream brand of the month over in the Cream Forum starting this week, so if you're in the neighborhood, please stop in.

I have already moved the SR3824, Vulfix 2234S, Kent BLK4, Simpson Emperor 2 and Rooney 2/1 Super into the ready position. Rover LE kicks it off tomorrow.
I do too. I think hard soaps perform differently with continued use - esp. the hard triple milled like DRH & MWF.Day 16 (out of 23 - because of travel) with the Stirling Spice. This soap gets better with every use! I love dialing in a soap's performance with continued use.
I finally hit the bottom of my Floris of London Elite soap that I bought July 2013, though I still have a long way to go. This soap will have lasted at least 150 shaves for a 100 gram puck.
This thread has inspired me to try to kill it quicker, which has prompted me to use more soap and I have started getting better lathers. I now not only love the scent but I love the soap as well. After this I have a puck of L'Occitane Cade to finish and then some Edwin Jagger Limes and Pomegranate.
