Container for Palmolive Shave Stick?

Would like to put the Palmolive Shave Stick 50g in some kind of container that would make it better for storing and application. Any ideas appreciated.

Sometimes shave stick containers come up on the bay. Search for Colegate shave stick holder or Palmolive shave stick holder.

I believe mama bears sells her shave stick containers on her site, though they are 70g it might still fit.

Mama Bears are a little big in the diameter and by the time you pay the shipping are a little much. I am looking for a Old Spice deodorant stick that I have heard is a perfect fit but not having any luck finding one locally. Thanks everyone for all the help.

Maybe a pill bottle??
Yep, those work great!

I got a great vintage bakelite Erasmic shave stick holder off the bay for mine.
Cost about GBP3 from memory and fits beautifully.:thumbup1:

I would be willing to donate one shave stick to anyone that would like to experiment with this and share their findings. It's worth a try. My sticks have a slender plastic filament that travels up the center of the stick and that may affect this as will size.. but I think they would be nice since they twist up and have caps..

any takers, just send me an email. We can learn together. Hugs, Sue

Sue, I have three of your stick containers. One is empty, one is filled with MWF and the other is full of Institute Karite. I am not the original owner, but I was told that the soaps were milled and then poured into the stick container and then gently packed down.

Your shave stick containers work great! They twist up and down easily and the cap does exactly what it is supposed to do, protect the top of the soap. These containers are really great for travel. My only problem is that I don't know what to put in the empty one.

I also need to thank you for your instructions on how to melt soap with out losing the fragrance. Thank you so much.

Old Army trick here in Oz is to use a 35mm film container, black with grey lid. Cut a finger hole in the bottom before dropping in a 20c piece ( maybe a US quarter) and then half of your Palmolive shave stick. Makes it easy to unstick the wet shave stick from the inside of the canister.

 Very nice. Simple ingenuity.

I use an empty Brut Deo stick (push up cylinder version sold for $3 at grocery/drug stores) container. Afer you finish the deo stick, just rinse the remaining deo substance from the platform lift piece, and push it back to the bottom. Drop in the Palmolive and screw on the cap. Done and done.

This is the stick (the green matches the Palmolive green base too!):
