I am currently using Cetaphil in the shower to exfoliate with a sponge before shaving. I am wondering if Cetaphil would work well as a preshave or even as a shave lather. I must admit I love using it in the shower as it does a great job, anyone else out there have any experience with it? What are your thoughts on it.

Hey Joe,
Cetaphil happens to be the only cleanser I will use on my face and body. It's so gentle, it's the only cleanser I can trust on my skin. It's a little more expensive but in my mind there is nothing better.

I, personally, would avoid using it in your shaving routine in any way. Cetaphil is not designed for shaving purposes and quite honestly you're better off using it strictly as a cleanser. It's a GREAT product but you're really better off using it for what it's intended for. There's plenty of high quality shaving goods out there ... why risk getting a bad shave when you don't have to.
