    Default report on first shaves

i have had my DE for a few days now and have shaved twice...last shave was pretty good. I went WTG, WTG, XTG, and ATG. a few small nicks but pretty darn smooth.

I am using a Merkur Progress and have a Shark blade in there right now. Looking to buy a second soap, using Arko right now, and suggestions? trying to stay in the lower end of the cost spectrum.

all in all this has been a pretty good experience, i cant remember the last time i looked forward to shaving. i am an every other day shaver, i actually googled how to grow hair faster so i could shave again sooner! hahaha.

Nice shave. For soaps I like Proraso and Tabac.

One shave down, many more to go; and they keep on getting better. If you look forward to it, consider shaving everyday as your face becomes more use to using a DE.

    Happy Shaving!

Welcome!! I agree with the previous post on Proraso soap being a good choice. I have yet to try Tabac, it's on my list though.

Welcome! I'm a big fan of the two Sues, the one at Honeybee Spa and the one at Mama Bear's. Both make great, reasonably priced soaps...
