This beautiful rhodium-plated Gillette British Aristocrat is really one of the best quality #66s I've ever seen. It may have been used -- very lightly -- but not by me. The plating is perfect and the shine and lustre something only available from this rare metal rhodium. And contrary to the controversy surrounding the US made President, there is no doubt that the #66 was and is rhodium-plated. And it has not been replated!
The razor itself is perfect in all respects -- no brassing, no fading, no flaws. The TTO mechanism works perfectly -- just like new.
The case is one of the best quality cases I've ever had -- including a clear embossed "Gillette" on the top and the classy and shiny stainless steel bade holder. The razor was made in the early 50s and never sold in the US until the B&B folks and Ebayers traded them across the pond.
I am eager to share the bounty and introduce you fellow B&Bers to this remarkably beautiful and well-crafted British made razors -- the #66 is one of the classiest.
Delivered to North Americans for $194. International shipping would require a slightly higher price.
