Your favorite Scrooge

Out of the many film and TV adaptations of Dickens' Christmas classic A Christmas Carol, whose portrayal of Scrooge is your favorite?

Mine is Patrick Stewart, I simply love his performance.

If this were a poll, there would only be two selections from which to choose.

Mark is right. There's Alastair Sim and then there's everyone else.

I do have to give props to lenard for reminding me of Rowan Atkinson in Blackadder's Christmas Carol. It's ROFL funny.

Alastair Sim, which was on here last night. There is something wonderful in the unbridled joy he shows. It is also fun to see Steed (Patrick MacNee) as the young Jacob Marley.

I was surprised to find that I really liked John Carey in the IMAX movie out now. I saw Patrick Stewart last night and to me he seemed definitely miscast. He was not believable enough as a mean person and his grandiose Shakespearean style seemed to clash with Dickens intended role for this character, at least it seemed that way to me.

I liked Mr. Magoo, too. A lot of nostalgic memories there.

If your into musicals, don't forget Albert Finney in "Scrooge."
