    Default Wapi Rescale in Ebony

Here is a Wapi rescaled in Ebony for a member. Gave it a CA glue finish, brass pins and washers with a Faux Ivory wedge.

Sorry about the small picture sizes... Forgot to change that setting on the camera! I need to put in an overhead light to...

Oh man, I can't wait to test drive out this puppy once it makes its way back to Texas. Those new scales really class that razor up, and I love the inclusion of the white faux ivory spacer for contrast.

For any of you thinking about getting some custom scale work done, I would definitely recommend you to take a look at Matt's (Sapito's) work. He prides himself in doing quality woodwork, and from the time I spent talking with him, he has access to a pretty good variety of materials. He takes his time to do a good job and from what I can see, does not settle for second rate work at all.

Bottom line, if you have a plain jane razor sitting around that could use a touchup and a shiny new set of scales, definitely hit him up and see what he can do for you.

    Matt, Looks terrific!

I'm excited to see what you do to the blades I sent you. On second thought, maybe I should have thrown my Wapi in as well

So I was on a trip while this little beast sat at the post office all alone for a week, but I finally was able to get it to sit still long enough for some pictures.

I tried to get some of the detail of the ebony itself, but its so shiny that its kind of hard to get the color, but suffice to say the wood is very dark brown with some light brown grain highlights. If anyone is interested enough I will try some different lighting conditions to try and bring it out. Visualizations aside, I'm VERY happy with the work Matt was able to do. The razor feels much more balanced than when it had the stock steel scales on, and it shaves buttery smooth.

Nice job Matt! I like the contrast of the ebony and the faux ivory wedge.
