    Thumbs down Lilac Vegetal...i'll bite.

So I finally decided (about 1/3 of the way through my bottle) that Lilac Vegetal is just nasty. The scent was intreguing for a bit, and does smell a bit floral, but man it is just too strong and too cloying.

Not sure what I will do with the rest of the bottle, but it won't be used on my face. I finally just came to the conclusion that Pinaud does not agree with me in general. No more money will be spent on their scents.

I also must point out that Lilac Vegetal is just diluted alcohol with fragrance and coloring. Look at the ingredients list, not even that Propylene Glycol stuff is present. Very disappointing.

I had a bottle, you made it further than I did. Good job.

I poured some down the drain, smelled too much. Capped and tossed.

This was in my early days of DE, no idea what PIF was, although shipping would be more than the bottle...

Well, not everybody can handle the Veg.

The wading pool of easy scents awaits. Aqua de Innocuous and water wings for awhile. No going near the musk without a kickboard!

I was fortunate to find an open bottle at Bigelow so I was able to take a whiff without buying it. It was an easy decision

Come into the deep end - the water's fine!

For what it's worth, I really like lilac as a scent, but Lilac Vegetal just interacts with my body chemistry all wrong and produces some seriously weird scents.

Most alcohol aftershaves are basically alcohol and fragrance.
A few innocuous odds and ends here and there, but in a nutshell, that IS what aftershave is.
I looked, and try as I might I couldn't find any aftershaves that included in their list of ingredients "Magic Fairy Dust".
Those who love the Veg, will always love the Veg, regardless of what the naysayers preach.
Those who find it vile will never be convinced it is anything but vile.
    And that's ok, because....

    wait for it......

Come on guys, don't be mean. Lilac Vegetal can be too much for some fellas.

Maybe you might want to start off with something a little gentler?

Another one comes into the light.....

I too had a bottle and liked it initially. One day as I was splashing it on I realized that is smells terrible. I dumped it down the drain.

    I love my Clubman though.

You don't decide if you like the Veg. The Veg decides if it likes you.

Kilgore: Smell that? You smell that?

    Lance: What?

Kilgore: Lilac Vegetal, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that.
I love the smell of Lilac Vegetal in the morning.

You know, one time I splashed it on, 12 ounces. When it was all over, I looked up. I didn't find one of 'em, not one other human being for miles. The smell, you know that Lilac smell, the whole block. Smelled like, I dunno, smelled like victory. Well, maybe victory in rest home.

Someday this bottle's gonna be empty...

I wonder how they get kitty cats to wizz into those little bottles?

Recently discovered manuscripts reveal the Dante's 9th circle of hell was not a lake of blood and guilt, but a lake of lilac vegetal. The change was made because it was felt that the original lake of lv was too graphic and horrible for most people to read. Sort of like the idea of knowing the grossest thing you ever ate. You just don't want to go there.
