I tried bidding on it but my bids of $1, $2, $10 and $25 all were "rejected". And now I can't bid on it anymore... but I could "buy it now". If It were made from an ounce of pure gold it would almost be a bargain.

You can't bid on a buy it now auction. Or do you mean you made ridiculously low best offers? Shavemaster1, aka ptbsr, does not suffer fools gladly.
