Default For Sale- Wostenholm "Celebrated" Frameback

Well, SRAD has hit me and I need to clear out some space and will be selling a couple blades to make room for some new ones.

Wostenhom Frameback, blade is in good condition with no major rust or pitting. Scales appear to be horn, however they aren't in the best condition and the blade needs to be guided closed. It is a terrific shaver that has recently been touched up on some Chromium Oxide. Price - $26 shipped. SOLD!

How old is this razor? Does anyone happen to know?

I have one of those blades (with much less wear, though). It's marked 1850. I'd assume it was made within a few years of that date.

While there's (apparently) some wear to the blade of the one being sold, I can second that these are really good shavers.

I'm gauging the wear by comparison with my blade.

This is a really good price. The pins should be easy to tighten (use a spoon).

    Somebody buy this.

I had one, excellent shaver, but mine was ugly and I have an attraction to good looking objects, so I sold it off to finance a prettier blade. Shallow, I know.

The blade looks better in person, that is a pretty bad picture I'll see if I can snap a better one later.

However, I am reducing the price to $33 Shipped. I'll be able to ship it out today as well.

Don't feel bad, mine looked much worse. I don't think this is really a good looking razor, regardless of condition. But it does shave like a dream.

$26 for a nice straight and it's still here?! Good luck with the sale, tho at that price, you shouldn't need it.

I'm hoping someone who hasn't shaved with a frameback will take this opportunity to do so. It's really a different feel.

Heck, if your lucky, I might even through in another blade along with it
