Reinventing the wheel?

I read on these posts how 3 piece razor owners are careful when changing blades, or wrapping towels for protection - I made this from a short piece of PVC. If end caps are added, it makes an economy travel case! Too bad plumbing pipe isn't butterscotch colored...

Nifty little device! How well does it work when reattaching the handle?

Slide the head top/blade/baseplate combo into the tube, insert handle through slot, and assemble. I'm waiting to get my Merkur Futur - a new tube will be made to fit - should work for closeness adjustment and there may be a modification to safely remove / install the blade cover cap. I will post pics in the future.

Pretty sharp. I am always uneasy when changing blades
in a three piece razor.
